Who are the SETx coaches?
Elliott Dollar (E$)
age: 25
education: BBA: MGMT 2006 (Lamar University: BMT, TX)
height: 5'10''
weight: 190lbs
experience: 11 yrs. wakeboarding & boat driving; regional competitor for 5 years
status: It seems like everyday that I ride I figure out something unique about wakeboarding that I hadn't already realized. That little injury that kept me sidelined for the 2008 season is long gone so I'm thankful to be feeling healthy again. Finally, just getting to kick back, have f

un and RIDE! During 2009, I've been on a mission to get back in shape and acquire new elements to my style (not just my trick list.) I've ridden with a lot of new people this year and I've been involved with countless "first" rides as more and more people learn to ride wakeboards at SETx. Ya'll don't be strangers now ya hear? LET'S
GO RIDE!
trick list: 180s (fs & bs), 360s, 540s, (a few ts 720s), backroll(s), roll-2-revert, half-cab roll, tantrum, whirly, moby dick, front flip, raley, batwing, scarecrow(s) & crow-mobe. Rails are fun!
riding style: I'm definitely a wake-2-wake rider. I like to grab and make tricks feel smooth.
Lance Stevens
age: 22
height: 5'9"
weight: 150lbs
experience: 4 years of wakeboarding; competitive for 3
status: Wakeboarding & wakeskating are simply two things
that I love. Whether it's learning a new spin on my wakeboard or
trying to land something tech on my skate I just like being on the
water. I want to continue pushing myself in wake sports because it's
challenging and I enjoy that. I feel like I've come a long way in 4
short years so I'm excited to see what the future holds. Part of that
excitement comes along with sharing my experience with new, up &
coming riders like

myself. I've coached for a couple seasons now and
I've learned a lot about the instructional process & what it takes
to relay valuable feedback.
trick list: 180s (fs & bs), 360s (fs & bs), 540s (fs
& bs), (a few ts & hs 720s), backroll(s), roll-2-revert,
half-cab roll, tantrum, t2b, scarecrow(s), crow-mobe, skeezer, tootsie,
batwing, & indy glide. I ride rails too!
riding style: I like to go w2w but some tricks are just meant for the flats.
Joe Nichols
age: 26
education: BBA: MKTG 2006; (Lamar University, BMT, TX)
height: 5'9"
weight: 165lbs
experience: 9 years of wakeboarding; competitve for 4
status: Wakeboarding is something that I love to do. I spent a year down in Orlando watching & riding next to the pros at OWC so I feel like I have a well-rounded view on the sport itself. To me, there's nothing like a day out on the lake pushing yourself & trying to be a better rider. Everyday is a different day and no session is the same. I work full-time during the week so when I'm out on the water it's really about throwing caution to the wind and going BIG! What can I say, I like to entertain. When you ride with me you can expect 1 of 2 things; either I'm going to land something big or I'm going to CRASH

something big, (sometimes maybe both!)
trick list: 180s, 360s, 540s, backroll(s), tantrum, scarecrow, front flip, raley, hoochie glide, krypt, s-bend & I love to hit rails!
riding style: I like to ride with a nice mix of w2w moves and big tricks out into the flats. When all else fails, why not go BIG? More than anything I just like to have a good time while watching & helping people learn something new.
What costs are involved with wakeboarding lessons?
At SETx, we have the privilege of offering full instructional services
on completely private waters. This controlled learning environment
allows riders access to the most optimum conditions for progression. The lake consistently produces calm water and we never have
to contend with other boats.
One-on-one, personalized instruction is not cheap. Please understand that
wakeboarding is simply an expensive sport and SETx has to cover its
costs so we can "keep the doors open". Considering the cost of the lake, top quality Malibu boat, insurance, fuel & the money it takes to attract & maintain experienced
instructors, SETx has to charge a minimum of $100/hr
just to "float-the-boat" so to speak.
We understand that wakeboarding is expensive. Believe us, we've
devoted our lives to it! What's cool is ...
SETx is able to offer
high quality, affordable options which allows riders to enjoy & learn wakeboarding without having to assume
all the FULL TIME associated costs.
Who are our competitors/comrads? What do they charge?
*First of all, we say comrads because we personally know most of
the organizations in Texas and we respect & highly recommend each.
You'll gain a different perspective from each instructor &
sometimes it's good to change it up a bit. Here's a list of Texas
instructional organizations & the rates that they are currently
charging, we think you'll find SETx to be a competitive option:

Will a SETx instructor travel to your home lake or river to coach?
Yes, we cover most of the territory in Southeast Texas, including but
not limited to: The Neches River, Sam Rayburn, San Jacinto, Lake
Houston, Trinity River, San Bernard & Lake Conroe. Usually these
scenarios require a different approach & amount of effort to
coordinate so contact us to discuss the details.
